Weir performance was founded by Spence Weir in 1997. The company started life building specialty rear ends for dirt oval and asphalt oval race cars. We created a new type of floating-axle rear end based on the Toyota Celica which earned us a united states patent in 2000. As our reputation for quality grew, we reached out into road race, drag racing, drifting and some rally.
Our mission is to provide quality rear end products and services at affordable prices to the serious competitor as well as the weekend warrior. We are continuously looking for ways to build better and longer lasting rear ends. R&D is constant, if we find a weakness in a rear end design or LSD unit, we find a way to improve on it. Our specialty is import rears and we also work on all types of domestic models as well.
Our products are unique and always top notch. We don’t sell parts that don’t work or won’t fit correctly. We like the challenge of finding new ways to improve performance and reliability; we never say “there’s nothing that can be done”. Customers contact us regularly looking to upgrade or just simply to have us go through their diff to make sure it’s right. We also listen to the needs of our customers and have come up with new products to meet the demands of racing and performance.
